It was announced quite some time ago that the theme for this year's Costume Institute Gala and accompanying exhibition would pay tribute to the late Alexander McQueen and his extraordinary body of work. Today, The Met's director, Tom Campbell and curator: Andrew Bolton unveiled some images in anticipation of the exhibition which opens to the public on May 4th.

NYFW: Marchesa Fall 2011
I was JUST having a conversation last night with some friends about how UNimpressed I have been with this season's shows.... seriously.... so boring....UNTIL! Marchesa..... I am really starting to fall in love with this brand and they are consistently surprising me, in the best of ways... Their presentation for Fall 2011 is just absolutely stunning and reminds me of the skilled craftsmanship and innovation that is coming out of Europe. Yes, I am all about supporting our domestic designers and bolstering production in our own garment district... but it seems, unfortunately that New York is, in my opinion, still a few steps behind the shows in London and Paris. By LEAPS and BOUNDS... this is my absolute FAVORITE collection of the season.
