Spring + Day-Glo

The word is out.... spring is screaming for bright, bold prints and day-glo neon colors. It seems that we all can't get enough of the inspiration that comes from the 80's/90's. Collections from Jil Sander, Prada, Frankie Morell, Christopher Kane, Proenza Schouler... the list just goes on and on....With all this continuing cold weather, these colors are a much welcome spark of hope. So bust out your hypercolor, zink oxide and get ready for spring!!

NYFW: Marchesa Fall 2011

I was JUST having a conversation last night with some friends about how UNimpressed I have been with this season's shows.... seriously.... so boring....UNTIL! Marchesa..... I am really starting to fall in love with this brand and they are consistently surprising me, in the best of ways... Their presentation for Fall 2011 is just absolutely stunning and reminds me of the skilled craftsmanship and innovation that is coming out of Europe. Yes, I am all about supporting our domestic designers and bolstering production in our own garment district... but it seems, unfortunately that New York is, in my opinion, still a few steps behind the shows in London and Paris. By LEAPS and BOUNDS... this is my absolute FAVORITE collection of the season.
