GUCCI: RESORT 2014

The resort collections just keep rolling in, and i was really struck by the Gucci presentation. Relaxed, oversized silhouettes in luxe fabrics were balanced with glittering cocktail dresses. The look is an undone, effortless vibe that looks extremely put together (the silhouettes help with this). Here are some of my favorite looks from the collection. The green floral silk print is remarkably reminiscent of the print from the SUNO X UNIQLO collaboration collection.

INSTAGRAM: EUROPE 2013

Peter and I got back from our Europe trip 2 weeks ago now and I can't help but reminisce about the beautiful time we had there. We have been planning on doing this trip for a couple years now, and feel so grateful that we were finally able to make it happen. We spent 6 days in Paris, 4 days in the South of France, 3 days in Cinque Terre, Italy and our last day/night in Milano. Here is a collage of some of my favorite photos from the trip.

DAILY ROUTINE

Hope everyone had a great long weekend. I've found that after a weekend away, its nice to get back into a routine again, so I'm sharing mine today... for makeup in the mornings! All of these products are "holy grail" products to me; items I will continue to purchase over and over again because they are THAT good. Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge in Fresh Melon is the perfect color all year around and will give that rosy glow. The Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzer is in a creme formula and I swear it looks good on EVERYONE. YSL's Glossy Stain is the best formulation of a lip product I have ever tried. The color stays on your lips (the stain), has a pop of shine (the gloss) and moisturizes all at the same time. And a new addition to my routine is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray: which will help your makeup last through the day (AND NIGHT) even with the summer humidity. WEEKEND PLAYLIST

It's officially the start of the summer season and we're kickin' it off in the city with Memorial Day festivities. Picnicking in the park, brunching with friends, Punk exhibit at the MET and "Gatsby"! Here's a playlist to get you through the weekend, whatever you're up to. ENJOY!

RUNNING FOR WATER

TIMEOUT for something a bit more serious today. While I use this blog to divulge in one of the loves of my life: fashion..... I am ALSO very passionate about issues of social justice and contributing (in any way that I can) to stories of redemption and LIFE.  So, I've signed myself up for a HALF MARATHON! Race day is on March 24th and the beneficiary charity is WORLD VISION; and specifically their efforts in providing CLEAN WATER to communities in AFRICA.

The practical implications of having ONE deep water well in a community means 2,800 gallons of clean, fresh water every day. Children usually charged with the responsibility of walking long distances to fetch water for their families and community can now be healthier and use that time in the classroom.

One billion people do not have access to clean water.. ONE BILLION.

With the efforts of organizations like: World Vision, Charity Water, Water, CLEAN WATER, among countless others... we are closing the gap on that number and working towards a healthier world!
